There are severl important items that you need to play softball

A bat: There is no spesifc matrial your bat has to be made out of but it is very important A bat is the thing you use when you are batting you use this to hit the ball and score a run

A ball: the ball is the most important part of a softball game. becuase without the ball you cannot play. A soft ball ball is bigger then a baseball and is usally yellow instead of white. Although even though it is called softball the balls are not soft.

A glove: the glove is the piecec of equipment you use to catch the ball. Because the ball is so big and heavy you cannot use your hands and you have to use a glove. you put your glove on the oppisite hand that you throw with becuase it is easier to play the game this way. If you are lefthanded you have to buy a diffrent glove then if you are right handed.

uniform: the uniform is the outfit that you play in. you cannot use regular clothes becuase your unifomr is specilly dezigned so you don;t get hurt while playing. The pants are made out of a special matireal so when you slide into a base you dont get hurt. The top usally represents the team you are by having a logo or team name on it. you also have cleets which are a special type of shoe to help so you don't fall and shin guards so you don't cut yourself when you slide into a base.
